Can do it in more than one ways The function key method: 1) PC cursor: FN key + slash 2) Jaws cursor: FN key + semicolon 3) Route Jaws cursor to PC cursor: FN key + Capslock (or Insert) +semicolon 4) Route PC to Jaws: FN key +capslock (or insert) + slash
Capslock or "Jaws key" method: 1) Jaws cursor: Capslock + P 2) PC cursor: Capslock + semicolon 3) Route Jaws to PC: capslock + Left bracket 4) Route PC to Jaws: Capslock + apostrophe When you change the keyboard layout to Laptop, the Capslock key is considered as "Jaws key", and therefore, you must press it twice, to perform its original function. Holding the FN key and pressing any of those "JKL" range of keys is equelent to pressing the num pad keys, with Num pad lock deactivated on a normal keyboard. For e.g, If you press "M" holding FN key, it is like pressing the insert key of Numpad in a normal keyboard. Remember that big rectangular key that acts as zero and insert? yeah, that's right ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sudhir R (NeSTIT)" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, December 05, 2007 10:30 AM Subject: [AI] Jaws cursor on laptop > Folks, > > Would appreciate if someone could educate me how to switch to the Jaws > cursor in a HP Compaq laptop that uses the laptop keyboard layout in Jaws > settings.
