Halo friends

Vatsal shah from baroda, gujrat

I also would like to register my protest or complaint for the same.even I
suggest that earlier notes which had gandhiji imagewere perfect.even
currency notes before gandhiji were perfect.visually impaired people did not
face problem.they were perfect in size and shape.yes, I am talking about 20
years back time when currency notes of denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50,
100 and 500 were prevalent.i lost my eyesight in june 1998.all currency
notes of that era were perfect for blind to recognize.

I urge government to issue similar notes keeping in mind visually impaired
people.gandhiji series notes were issued in 1996 probably when I was in
eighth standard.their lenghth was different and also width.10 and 20 rupees
note had similar width.just length was different.10 rupees note being longer
than 10 rupees note.

Similarly, 50 and 100 rupees notes had similar width.their length was
different.

500 rupees note was very long and broad.

Whosoever had designed those notes had kept divyang people in mind.i
remember there were signs or symbols of triangle and square and circle on
them.at that time, I being in in 8 and 9 standard could not understand
purpose of those signs on currency notes.i lost my eyesight suddenly in
june 1998 due to viral fever.

If such notes are brought again in circulation, problem for visually
impaired and low vision people can be solved.

So it is my humble request to take my suggestions and implement same.i many
times wonder and express my inability to convey my message to person of
higher authority or government to bring back those currency notes into
circulation.new currency notes having similar size need to be withdrawn from
market at once.

Even government had made mistake when 500 rupee notes were issued which were
almost similar in size like 20 rupees note.i believe that government must
have consulted advisors or committee before giving green signal to print
such notes.

So my humble request to bring back gandhiji series notes which were issued
or started in 1996 probably.they were orangish, pinkish and bluish in
colour or had tinge of those colours.

I think that all my fellow friends will support me in expressing my request
on behalf of all disabled or divyang or visually impaired citizens of india.

I hope that my request or plead will definitely taken into
consideration.after all this is question which is lingering since many
months and my fellow friends are anxiously waiting for reserve bank and
financial minister to take into consideration.as it is said that old is
gold, I once again repeat same thing.gandhiji image notes started in 1996
were perfect in size and shape.all notes had different length as mentioned
above.please issue such kind of notes which are convenient for blind people
so that they can recognize them and are not cheated.

Now days, taking hint from developed countries, government should go for
plastic notes.use of credit and debit cards should be encouraged more and
more so that government has to print less notes thereby saving paper and
trees.all vendors and shps should have facility of swiping cards.even
multiplexes, rickshaws, hotels, cafeteria, fast food joints, hawkers and
vendors.i am talking or voicing on behalf of all my fellow Indians who
don't have basic needs and amenities.they take advantage of rickshaw and bus
service.many visually impaired Indians might never have come out of their
house and faced challenges of this world.

Due to voicing of one individual, many Indians or society at large will be
benifited.

Lets see if government considers my demands or suggestions and does
something concrete for crores of blind people of india.of course, repeating,
I feel that issue of new currency notes of different size was not correct
or wise decision.cabinet must have been consulted.

Jai hind

I fully agree with Harish. No tactile markings on paper currency will help
the Blind, because such markings get faded or become blur after some time.
Different sizes and shapes is the only solution. These sizes and shapes
should be in same proportion of their face value. More the value, larger the
size.
