You can do one thing which is very convenient. Press C or space bar to pause 
wherever you have to stop, press control +J to bring the dialogue of time 
jumping, and note the time where you have stopped it and the next time you 
open the same file, press again control+J and put the time from where you 
want to listen to the file.

Hi,

I have a small question regarding the working of winamp. What are the steps 
to ensure that winamp plays the file from the moment it was closed rather 
than playing the file from the beginning. I'm referring to a large MP3 file 
of few hours which I want it to play from the same clip rather than me each 
time working to that clip when it begins.
