Hi again, There is 1 more alternative way for the deleting multiple mails.
It is possible only with the android devices. if you already configured your gmail with mobile, you can download an app called inbox for gmail from the play stor. After downloading and installing, Please follow the onscreen instructions and configure the app with your gmail. Once you done, you can see many folders in the app such as promotions, social and so on. All your mails sorted accordingly.
