My suggestion is going with google home, smart speaker, as it's a bit advanced, with some more resourceful source to fetch the information when you ask it something. And, it almost supports wide range of smart home devices out there. Like usually bulbs, televisions, home theatre music systems, so on and so on. Finally it's your choice, that's one thing, but on the advanced side, google smart speaker might be one of the good option that's all.
