I started using DOS based JAWS from 1989 along with an external speech synthesizer called Votrax. I imported JAWS and Votrax in late 1988 from U.S. I continued to use this till 1995, when multimedia was made available. I migrated to the use of JAWS for Windows version 2,3,4,5,6 and now 8. Also, there was a lull of about 2 years sometime between 1992 and 1994, when Widows based JAWS was not available. regards
