Dear all, Although the Guidelines for conducting written examination for persons with benchmark disabilities was passed in Aug 2018, I still see many universities and colleges not complying to it. When asked, the management of the institutions said that they are not aware of the order and moreover, it was not circulated to them. this is not just one incident, but has been repeatedly happening at various places across India. May it be schools, junior colleges, degree and PG colleges, it is the same every where. I am seriously thinking of addressing this issue, In this regard, i tried contacting the local department of persons with disabilities, but all they said was that I should write a letter. But I heard that despite many persons writing to them, no action has been taken so far. I looked up on the Ministry of Social Welfare and Justice website to find out if there is any facility wherein i can complain. I did find one, but it was to address complaints on the Ministry itself. So is there anyone here who has already addressed this issue earlier? May i ask if any action has been taken. If not, could anyone please tell me where would be the right place to approach? Thanks a lot in advance.
