Those with learning disabilities to get reservation in state Mumbai Mirror | May 30, 2019, 06.00 AM IST The Marashtra government has broadened the definition of disability extending reservation in government jobs to more categories including those with learning disabilities. The 3 per cent reservation was distributed among these categories, but now 9 new types of disabilities have been included. The GR issued on Wednesday has included blindness, vision impaired, deafness, cerebral palsy (CP), leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims, muscular dystrophy, bone deformity, autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness. This reservation is applicable for government, semi-government, and government-aided jobs. 6/1/2019 government jobs: Those with learning disabilities to get reservation in state Independent MLA from Achalpur Bacchu Kadu, who runs Prahar Yuvashakti Sanghtna and fights for the rights of the disabled said, “Adding these other categories is unfair to the physically- challenged. Now, these other categories may just take over the quota of physically-challenged, ”
