But the biometrics has been proven not to be fool proof.
Besides, there are other considerations like quality of finger skin, and even
quality of technology employed.

Subject: [AI] Biometrics

Thought I should share

1. Went for interview for US visa this week. I had already finished
with the biometrics last month. However before the interview they took my
fingerprints again. I was surprised so I asked why twice. I was told that
sometimes those who go for the biometrics are not the same persons who go for
the interview.

2. Was waiting for my matter in a courtroom in the Bombay High Court
this week and was listening to a matter dealing with biometrics. One candidate
had appeared for the RBI recruitment written test on 6th January
2018 and the biometrics taken at that time did not match with the ones taken at
the interview in Feb 2018 and special second opportunity given in April 2018.He
had come to court for relief but the court refused to interfere with RBI's
decision not to offer him the job. I don't think this candidate was blind. The
Court had already handled such a case earlier.

Just leaving everyone on this group with a thought that UPSC and other exam
bodies are getting several complaints of impersonation etc. and now are
becoming stricter and the Courts are notgiving sympathetic decisions. Better
watch out.
