Perhaps, the third meeting of the Central Advisory Board on Disability constituted under the RPD Act, 2016 is slated to be held today; and, it may well be under way as I am writing this mail. Against this backdrop, I feel inclined to suggest that the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, govt. of India should ensure live webcast of the proceedings of the future meetings of the said Board on the lines the CRPD meetings are webcast live. This suggestion, if acted upon, will enable persons with disabilities to know firsthand what issued have been discussed in a given meeting; and, what matter has been raised by which member together with the response of the Govt. I have shot up an email to the Secretary of the Department of empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, govt. of India containing the this and a couple of other suggestions. May be some of you would feel inclined to do the same.
