Hi All,

KFC Makes It Easier To Order Fried Chicken With Google Assistant
Looking for some finger licking good fried chicken? You can just ask
Google to place an order, right now only available in Canada.

Canadian locations of Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) will be
 launching a pilot
with Google – to offer seamless online food ordering through Search,
 Maps and Assistant.

Google users in Canada who search for their local KFC location on
Google Search or Maps will now see an “Order Online” button. Users
 will then be able
to place an order for delivery or pickup and pay for their order using
Google Pay without having to leave the Google platform.

Users of Google Assistant can say, “Hey Google, order food from KFC,”
to place a pick-up or delivery order from the restaurant. Google
 Assistant will save
previous orders and users can say “Hey Google, order food again from
 KFC,” to re-order their favorites.

It is unclear which delivery company will partner with KFC on voice
deliveries, but the company does work with SkipTheDishes and runs
 their own delivery
 services in Canada.

Google added functionality for users to order food directly through
its platform last year and is compatible with third-party delivery
 services, including
 Postmates and ChowNow.

With the addition of Google-based ordering and with other digital
initiatives, KFC’s Canada division has the goal of digital sales
 exceeding offline sales
 by 2022.
