As you all know, to cut the loneliness, fear and the distance we all are experiencing during these locked down moments, we kick-started our series <https://risingflame.org/project/vella-panthi-an-online-house-party-for-persons-with-disabilities/> Vella Panthi last Saturday, April 4. Vella Panthi, an online house party for persons with disabilities and friends, is a series of four sessions over four weeks where we plan to catch up, read books, watch films and more. Because we must stay connected and continue building empathy!
This Saturday, April 11 at 3:30 pm IST, we bring to you the second session of Vella Panthi. This will be a screening on consent followed by some powerful discussions with two lovely activists Subha Wijesiriwardena- a queer-feminist activist, researcher, and writer/ blogger from Colombo, Sri Lanka, working on gender, sexuality and digital rights- and Shubha Kayastha- a queer feminist from Nepal and co-founder and executive director at Body & Data. The screening will be subtitled and audio described and it will be followed by a discussion and sharing of experiences.
