hi All, this endeavour has been a long time in the making. i have been perhaps waiting for the right opportunity to share my personal experiences, and experiments in the kitchen as a blind person, to motivate and encourage many others to get comfortable around their kitchens. somehow, a casual discussion with Shireen Iraani and help from two talented, and enthusiastic volunteers-Mayank Sharma, and Aparna, and this YouTube channel called Rasoi Ke Rahasya was born. it is still new, and has four episodes uploaded, as it happens. the idea is to gently nudge the newcomer and the hesitant person to learn to get their feet wet, one step a time. from learning to understand the space, organize the kitchen, to perform more hands-on tasks, this channel will have it all. i am recording extensively researched, and descriptive audio content that is easy to understand, and follow. glossaries of English names for spices, and vegetables in times of ordering online is something i see as essential- and hence is being done as well. i hope that this information reaches many families of persons with vision impairment, who hesitate and are not sure how to get their wards started. as for the end user themselves, i can assure you an interesting and educational journey.
