Two students of Helen Keller Institute for Deaf and Deafblind have scored
impressive marks in SSC exams, despite difficulties. Prince Yadav, who is
completely blind and uses audio books for studying, has scored 76%, and
Atharv Thakur, who has low vision and hearing impairment, secured 83%.

“The indomitable spirit of the students and their teachers have made this
possible. Their parents have also given unstinting support,” said Anuradha
Bagchi, director (education) of the institute. Both Atharv and Prince want
to pursue arts. Atharv has also won laurels in sculpture.
