Yes it is accessible I used to update my status frequently. You can use status in the form of audio, text aur video. Only problem is that while checking others status if there is any photo they are using in their status we will not be able to understand it, the workaround is to take a screenshot of that particular screen then share it with any ocr application that you are using.
