NCERT's portal most seen non-profitable site: UNESCO

New Delhi: (PTI): The National Council for Educational Research and Training 
(NCERT) portal has been declared as the most-surfed website by the United 
Nations
Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).

"It is an important achievement for us. NCERT has been providing important 
educational information to scores of students free of cost," Central School 
Education
and Literacy Secretary Arun Kumar Rath said.

The website 'www.ncert.nic.in' provides information under 220 different topics 
-- from women's education to National Talent Search.

The website also provides the course material for students of first standard to 
tenth standard.
