Dear All,

Greetings from Blind Graduates Forum of India (BGFI)!

“One is not born, but rather becomes, a woman.”-Simone de Beauvoir

Women in most parts of the world even today can’t make their own choices,
and wear, speak, or do what they want. The list of challenges is long and
what to say if she is blind? It takes more than courage to step out leaving
the fears behind of not just ourselves but even our loved ones and more
over stepping on to a journey which is far from the safety of her loved
ones. Walking and creating a path is not an easy task for an able-bodied
girl, but when it comes to a girl with disability her challenges are
different. The aim is not to glorify the challenges rather look at how at
every step, women have fought back to make their voices heard and stand up
for their rights!

Come and join us along with your parents or guardians as we discuss along
with the parents and siblings the journey of 3 bold brave and successful
women who chose to challenge and created a niche for themselves. let’s be
inspired to do more to make our voices heard, make our presence felt, and
break all boundaries and stereotypes that hold us back. Themes from these
orations is surely going to include ambition, determination and empowerment!

Date: Saturday, 27th March, 2021.
