Hi Rahul and team

This is a great ruling. This is something we can leverage with all accessibility defaulters.

I am extremely delighted about it!

Dear all,

Please see the attached order, para 4.9 onwards. The court has accepted all
our submissions, on private establishments being covered within the ambit
of the term Establishments under the RPwD Act and Rules. They have
recommended to Practo that it make its app accessible no later than 9
months from the date of this order and the Health Ministry to write a
letter to Practo.

More significantly, they have decided to hold a hearing on 20th September
on the issue of noncompliance of S. 40 and 46, RPwD Act, more broadly. This
could be a real game-changer and lays the platform for the kind of
compliance work that we're pushing for. Armed with this order, we can
change the entire ecosystem and ensure that no disabled person ever has to
face the frustration of an inaccessible app or website.

Warmly,
Rahul
