Dear Friends,
Many on AI have engaged with Open and Distance Learning programmes either online or offline over the years. Today there are 2 hour training programmes to full fledged degree programmes in the open/distance mode. We in partnership with the Common Wealth Education & Media Centre for Asia are doing a survey to capture the experiences of blind and visually impaired persons while engaging with these programmes. Are these programmes accessibale? Do skills get enhanced? Does it lead to progress in life status? Can the formats of these programmes be improved etc. Those of you open to participating in a survey like this, please write to me off the list on [email protected] More the merrier. We are planning to reach out to over 5000 individuals from across the country. Looking forward to receiving your mails. We do hope this survey would enable us to share recommendations to the Govt. and other relevant stakeholders to raise the levels of the ODL programmes and maybe provide them with broad guidelines for such programmes.
