I convey my heart-felt congratulations to the mission accessibility team.

You have done excellent work in the past and I am convinced that in future too,
this dedicated team will continue its services with the same vigor.

Subject: [AI] Important updates from Mission Accessibility

Following are the 4 significant updates from MA's side:

1. DEPwD and Rehabilitation Council of India in coordination with MA organised
a 3-day workshop on web accessibility from 21 March with the aim to equip web
designers of government know-how of disability related issues and there were a
range of speakers including Rahul Bajaj, Sh. Dhananjay Bhole, Srinivasu
Chakravarthula and Shri. Dipendra Manocha. (Link:

2. On 21 March Mission Accessibility began its collaboration with Rhodes trust
for making their

online offerings more disable friendly. We delivered a workshop on why
accessibility matters among other relevant issues. It was well attended by 78
members of Rhodes trust.

3. Chief Comm for PwD began sending Notice to around 70 inaccessible platforms
for which MA submitted a list on September 19. It is an achievement gained
after a persistent work of over 6 months on our part. The Commissioner has
given 6 months to the entities to make their platforms accessible and submit
status report.

4. On 23 March, MA had organised a workshop for all research fellows at Vidhi
Centre for Legal Policy for making Vidhi’s output accessible. We are working
with 3 teams on a pilot basis and the workshop was well attendant.
