Hi All,
I wanted to gather feedback regarding an idea I have for enhancing
Google Maps. I am considering reaching out to the Google support team
to suggest some changes based on this idea.
Many of you are familiar with the different tabs that appear when you
open a specific location on Google Maps, such as the overview and
reviews tabs. Currently, in terms of accessibility, I was told that
there is a wheelchair symbol accompanied by a tick mark or a cross
mark to indicate whether a place is accessible or not.
I have been contemplating the addition of another tab called
"Accessibility" where people visiting a location can provide detailed
information about its accessibility. For instance, let's consider the
McDonald's in PVR Cinema. The information in this tab could include
something like: "The McDonald's is located in the right corner of the
3rd floor of PVR Cinema. Upon entering, the counter is slightly ahead
towards the left, and the seating area is towards the right." While
this information may not offer complete navigation, it would provide a
general idea of what to expect.
I would appreciate knowing your opinions on this matter. It would be
helpful to know if you think this idea would be valuable, so that I
can relay the community's thoughts to the support team.

With regards,
Aishwarya
