Subject: Re: [AI] Dmat account Hi all, Continuing on the same discussion, when I went to bank for signature attestation required by the AMC, I got to know one more thing. They say that ECS/ Bank mandate/cheque facility cannot be given to VI persons using thumb impression. If so, how will I operate my demat account? I mean how can I make transactions? I would also like to mention the reason given by the HDFC branch manager. According to him they have no way to verify the thumb impression everytime a debit instruction comes. Signature can be verified but not the thumb impression resulting into more chances of fraud. Experts please guide.
