Dear Prashant,
I had prepared a couple of webinars on using Tally with JAWS in 2021.
Since around 2 years have passed, the accessibility-related information
is out-dated but the process of navigating remains the same.
I am giving below the Youtube links to the webinars.
a) Webinar with Snehankit Helpline:

b) Webinar with Bookshare:

This is good news. I suggest that you create a video or two showing
how Jaws is working in Tally.
This is a big news for many.

Dear Prashant,
Tally ERP 9.6 is completely accessible with JAWS 2019 & higher
versions. The latest version of Tally, Tally Prime is completely
accessible with JAWS 2023 (April 2023 update) & higher versions.
Unfortunately, Tally is not currently accessible with NVDA.
In order to use Tally, we need to use a combination of the PC cursor &
JAWS cursor. The PC cursor is used when entering data. The JAWS cursor
is used for navigating the Tally screens & selecting various options
on those screens.
I believe that blind people can be definately advised to use Tally at
their workplaces.

Dear Sameer,
Please clarify how accessible Tally is now? Has the interface
changed and therefore it is accessible?
Or it is still at previous state when some parts of it were
accessible?
And is accessibility based on some work around and hacks?
Can blind persons be advised to use tally at their workplaces?
Thanks,
Prashant

Dear Saurav,
Tally is mostly accessible with JAWS.
I conduct classes on using Tally with JAWS through Snehankit
Helpline, a Mumbai-based NGO. These classes are conducted online
through Zoom. For additional course-related details, feel free to
write to me off-list on my email id, [email protected]

Hello Everyone,
I am pursuingĀ first year B.com, I have tally as a part of my
curriculum.
Firstly, I want to ask whether Tally is accessible with NVDA
or Jaws. Secondly, Is there anyone on the list who can teach
Tally.
It would be of great help.
Regards
Saurav
