Guess u r living in an independent house. It is risky for a VI person to
stay in such homes.
Try finding a suitable home in some society which have security guards
posted at the main gate. You will feel safe there.

I'm sharing my todays experience. I'm located in Kolkata. Today in a
broad day-light at 1 PM 6 members started ringing the doorbell
initially I had ignored but i started feeling frustrated. I opened the
door and around dozen of men entered in my house without my
permission. They started showing fake documents such as kid's photos
and fake files asking for 7000 donation. I refused to give the huge
amount. Then they started threatening me but I did not scare I started
shouted at them and I quickly manage to get couple of knife from
kitchen and started calling police. After that they ran away. My
intention of sharing today's experience is if you experience
situations like these do not get panick and manage carefully. I'm
living with my older maternal grand parents. Any organisation working
in the field of social sector won't force to give donation. No
organisation will enter in to the house without permission. If
possible keep the sharp items nearby so you can find them quickly if
needed. I'm feeling scared due to today's experience. I feel that
Kolkata is unsafe place to live. My grand parents are yet to overcome
the today's situation. Who will protect them in my absence? Return to
office process has already initiated.
