The rolling tip means you attach it to your cane at the bottum and instead of tapping your cane on the ground, you drag it left and right. This way you are likely not to miss any tiny change on the ground in front of you. But think twice before buying it in Indian context as our streets including roads are not necessarily plane surfaced. In surfaces with loads of potholes, the tip will not drag.
