My experience too was far from conducive. I was refraining to share,
However, in the interest of disabled persons I think it is essential to
share it.
I first saw the device in the exhibit area of PurpleFest. I saw
potential in it and offered to help in as a user.
I was in dialog with the main person behind it. I soon realized he was
not responsive to user feedback and out of frustration I made it very
plain, that if you are making it for the blind it better be with the
blind and not for the blind. I also made it clear I was disappointed
with his approach. I had earlier offered to visit his office at
Bangalore. My mail put him off and he did not consider worthwhile to
provide his address and it was an abrupt end to it.
I am sharing this only with the purpose that one is informed of user
experience. I have no need to defame them in any way. I am happy you had
a better experience with them.

2. The object identification which is what I was looking for. I
wanted it to tell me if there were staircases ahead of me which it

Pranav, I have seen the glasses in 2 cities and I am sorry to say both
the persons were not able to demonstrate properly and I could not get
the exact benefit.

The glasses are available across India. There are personnel based in
different cities of India who can demonstrate them to you.
In Hyderabad, contact the L.V.Prasad eye institute. They have these
glasses.

Other list members have already told you about SHG technologies.
Their smart glasses as of this writing are the only game in town
at a reasonable price point. Your next option are the envision
glasses. Be warned, they are over 3 times the price and do
virtually the same thing as the SHG glasses. I suspect the SHG
glasses are better but I cannot say for sure because I have not
tried the Envision glasses.
The most interesting part of the SHG glasses is their walking mode
which is under further development. I have tested these glasses at
their Bangalore office and they appear to be promising. What are
