What is Thumbcast?
When text, picture, audio, or video content is
delivered through mobile distribution mechansim, it is
called thumbcast. The distribution mechanism may be in
the form of an SMS, MMS, or even a WAP push.
The term is an evolution specialized for original
mobile content, coming from the generally audio-based
podcast, the input mechanisms of multi-tap and
predictive text, and the distribution of content
directly to mobile phones.
