Dear All, Xavier’s Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged (XRCVC), St. Xavier’s College, as completed its 20 years of services on 17th September, 2023. To celebrate this important milestone, we have organized a series of 20 Tech Roshni sessions on different topics for persons with disabilities.
We are excited to announce our 11th Tech Roshni online workshop on the theme “*Labelling Solution of Spacefelt*” for persons with blindness and low vision on 20th January, 2024. This Workshop is supported by the *PSA BDP*. After vision loss, individuals often struggle with basic tasks like choosing clothes, identifying documents, medicines, and kitchen seasonings. While Braille labels can be helpful, not everyone with visual impairment can read Braille. To address these challenges, Spacefelt has developed a user-friendly app allowing individuals with visual impairment to tag, label, and identify objects independently at home and work. This simple solution empowers users to enhance accessibility in their daily lives. In the workshop, we will explore and learn what is labelling solution and how it works with a mobile screen reader etc. *Eligibility: *Participants should have good knowledge of screen reader and touch typing. *Limited seats are available for the session. *Those interested should kindly register by using the registration form link <https://forms.gle/yk1g2bBCdcGqD8pK7>. *Resource Person:* Aishwarya* (*Spacefelt) and Keshavan Nadar (XRCVC, Senior Technology Consultant) *Criteria*: Persons with print disabilities such as blind and low vision. *Date*: 20th January 2024 (Saturday). *Time*: 4.30 pm to 5.30 pm. *Venue*: Online Session (Zoom conferencing platform) The registration link will close at 2.00 pm on Thursday, 18th January 2024. *Important Note:* 1.
