Yes, safa supports sapi5 and it does work with Bengali using matrubhasha
synthesiser, but it is not a clear synthesiser.

I think webble is also developing a Bengali synthesiser, but I don't know
about it's quality and availability.

Subject: [AI] A Question About Safa

Dear
accessindians,

I have downloded Safa from Nab Delhi's Website. Now I have two questions. 1.
whether Safa supports Bengali, 2. if Safa will work with SAPI 5

I am writing this email using NVDA 06v1. This open source screen reader is
working very well..
