What is folkd?
folkd is a social web service that allows one to
aggregate text and audio comments, recommendations,
tags, keywords etc. to bookmarks, news, notes found on
web pages. This information is used by fellow "folks"
to gather and discover the web quicker based on this
additional meta information. Folkd is available as a
browser plug-in for both Mozilla and IE. Folkd is a
combination of digg, stumbleupon, del.icio.us, all put
into one. The folkd folks determine which web page
becomes popular or not. All members receive a certain
reputation-rank from the folkd system depending on
their activity in the community.
