Due to my 100% vision impairment, I had always been submitting typed copy of assignments with my signatures on each page of the assignment. As I am a late-life blind person, I can sign with reasonable comfort. Earlier, I never faced any issues with the assignment which were duly evaluated. However, two out of four assignments for M.A. first year were not evaluated even after commencement of second year. Multiple follow-ups with the University through email did not yield any result. When I filed RTI application, the University responded that I had been awarded 0 out of 100 marks. Subsequently, I filed RTI first appeal requesting scanned copies of the assignment sheets which were relied upon while affording 0 out of 100 marks. The University responded that I had been awarded 0 marks as I had submitted typed-copies of the assignment which are against University rules. In view of the foregoing, I request expert members of the group to advise me further course of action in pursuing the matter further. I believe that insistence on submitting hand-written assignments and not accepting typed assignments is against the spirit of reasonable accommodation enshrined in the RPWD Act, 2016.
