Dear List,

As part of Banks continued commitment to fostering inclusion and
accessibility, Union Bank of India proudly marked World White Cane Safety
Day on 15th October 2024 with several significant initiatives aimed at
empowering our visually impaired employees and raising awareness on
disability inclusion across the Bank.

Here are some key highlights of our efforts:

1. Launch of JAWS Screen Reader training : in collaboration with Union
Access, the Bank's Digital Learning Unit launched a new e-Learning Course on
JAWS Screen Reader Training for our visually impaired employees. This course
is designed to enhance workplace productivity by providing advanced JAWS
skills, helping employees contribute more effectively and advancing their
professional growth.

2. Social Media Campaign on Disability Inclusion: To mark White Cane Safety
Day, Union Bank engaged thousands of followers through an awareness campaign
across our social media platforms. The campaign focused on the importance of
disability inclusion, accessibility, and the role of technology in
empowering persons with disabilities.

3. The Chief General Manager of HR sent a heartfelt message to all employees
of the Bank, underscoring the significance of White Cane Safety Day. In his
message, he highlighted that the white cane symbolizes independence and
confidence for those with visual impairments. He stated, "Independence and
equality are fundamental human rights. By ensuring a barrier-free
environment and supporting colleagues with visual impairments, we can make a
meaningful difference. Let's appreciate their resilience and determination
as they inspire us every day."
