Dear List Members, If my memory serves me right, there was an sustained advocacy efforts to ensure accessibility of RTI Online portal for screen-reader users. It is satisfying to note that the efforts have yielded good results. RTI Online portal is fairly accessible with screen-reader users. An alternative audio-CAPTCHA is available at most of the places on the portal alongside image-captcha. However, undernoted accessibility issues are observed on the portal: 1. audio-captcha is not available on the portal while filing RTI first appeal. 2. Whenever any edit field/combo box is left unfilled/wrongly filled by the user, the error message is displayed/highlighted on the portal. However, the error message is not spoken out by the screen-reader software making it difficult for blind users to rectify the error. Therefore, I request guidance of learned members of the list in resolving the pending issues on the portal.
