Born with glaucoma that led to total blindness, Amit’s journey is a powerful story of ambition and impact. From starting Braille education at NAB Delhi in 2002 to thriving in mainstream schools and earning his degree from Delhi University, Amit has consistently shattered stereotypes.
As the first visually impaired clerical candidate selected by the State Bank of India in Delhi, Amit rose to the role of Assistant Manager, redefining what’s possible for persons with disabilities. As Honorary Secretary of the Blind Graduates Forum of India (BGFI), his visionary leadership has: • Advocated for accessible digital payments. • Facilitated India’s first audio-described movie in theaters. • Ensured essential deliveries for 200+ people with disabilities and senior citizens during COVID-19.
