Hi, I remember someone asking about status reply feature and mentioned that it was not working. Double tapping and long pressing on the reply button worked for me or if someone is using explore by touch feature, double tapping and long pressing on the option when VoiceOver reads out as empty line text field also works Just wanted to update the same. Ignore if you are already aware of this or if it is not working for you. Whatsapp app version and sometimes iOS version also makes this difference
