For an Apple iPhone user and those who want to enjoy cricket commentary with audio description or sign language on the Jio Hotstar app, here’s how you can do it. First, open the Jio Hotstar app on your iPhone. Then, tap on Watch Live for cricket. If you don’t see it right away, go to the Sports tab and you will find there. Once the video starts playing, tap on the video screen or the second unlabelled button. As you scroll from left to right, you’ll come across options like Video, Back, AirPlay, Cast Screen, and an unlabelled button, which sometimes speaks as the settings button. Tap on the unlabelled button for settings, then keep scrolling until you find Audio Language. At this point, it’s recommended to turn on Screen Recognition mode to find out The Hindi audio description/Hindi sign language option. Look for the option Hindi Audio Description for commentary with audio description. For sign language commentary, captions, or subtitles, keep scrolling within the Audio Language tab until you find Indian Sign Language. And that’s it—you’re all set! A quick note: Hindi Audio Description and Sign Language commentary are only available for India matches and key games like semifinals, finals, or knockout matches. Also, sometimes even with Screen Recognition mode on, you might still see an unlabelled button instead of Hindi Audio Description. In that case, just tap on it, and it will work. And if you love the old-school feel of cricket commentary, today you can also listen to Sunil Vaidya, and sometimes Sanjay Banerjee joins in too.
