As we all know, students with visual impairments face double the pressure during exams – the usual exam pressure as well as the issue of finding a scribe, unlike students without disabilities. According to our scribe guidelines, students with visual impairments can give exams on a computer. However, many students with visual impairments often wonder how to take permission from their institution, what precautions to take while writing their exams on a computer, and what practical challenges they might face. To address these concerns, Ashoka University is conducting a webinar to provide answers to these questions. This will help students with visual impairments become independent and not have to request persons without disabilities to become their scribe. This webinar is my initiative. In a previous webinar by Ashoka University on how persons with Visual Impairments can take their exams using a computer instead of a scribe, more than 90 participants joined, including school and college students, professors, and disability rights activists etc. Although I already shared the previous webinar recording earlier, I am attaching it again for your convenience.
