In response to this need, we are pleased to announce the upcoming 6th batch of Training of Trainers (ToT) focused on low vision, scheduled for 17th March 2025. Understanding the unique and diverse requirements associated with low vision, we recognize the imperative for specialized training resources. Given the inherent variations in functional vision among individuals, it is crucial to have trainers who possess a nuanced understanding of these differences and are adept in employing tailored teaching methodologies. INTRODUCTION TO THE WORKSHOP We are pleased to inform you that EnAble India offers a comprehensive 6-days Training of Trainers (ToT) program aims to Prepare trainer to teach digital literacy and awareness courses, for persons with low vision. Focusing on the introduction of various assistive solutions and technologies for vision enhancement. Appropriate teaching methodologies to accommodate different vision conditions. Orientation to various digital literacy programs for people with low vision. OUTCOME OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM: Participants will acquire the expertise to: • Conduct a comprehensive low vision assessment to understand functional vision nuances. • Conduct a comprehensive low vision Awareness Workshop. • Integrate specialized teaching methodologies tailored to the unique needs of individuals with low vision. • Create an inclusive learning environment conducive to the success of individuals with low vision. • Implement a structured 3-stage digital literacy program specifically designed for individuals with low vision. • Effectively utilize teaching aids to deliver computer training to persons with low vision. NOTE:- Post-Training Assignments will be given to the participants during the training. COURSE DETAILS: Duration : 6 Days Timings : Full Day (9:30AM – 05:30PM) Start Date : Monday, 17th March 2025. End Date : Saturday, 22nd March2025 Mode of Training : Offline Venue : Nanak Centre of Excellence, Surat Gujarat No of Seats : 18 Course Fee : No Fee WHO CAN APPLY? • Trainers who are training persons with low vision (working in NGO/Educational Institutions, etc • Freelance computer trainers for persons with vision impairment looking to train persons with low vision. • Special educators who trains persons with low vision on computers. • Volunteers currently teaching computers to persons with vision impairment or low vision. • Age above 21. Note: 1. Seat availability will be based on the assessment. 2. Totally blind, Deaf persons are not eligible for this program. FACILITIES: -TRAVEL, FOOD, AND ACCOMMODATION DETAIL 1.
