Mr. Anirudh,

So far as the short-term course on perfumery is concerned, it encompasses
various technical aspects. The foundation of perfumery knowledge is rooted
in chemistry, as it entails the intricate compounding and blending of
various molecules in a laboratory setting. Even when blending natural
ingredients at home, it necessitates specialized knowledge and relevant
experience. I am aware of several distillers and manufacturers who possess
significant expertise in this field, even though they don't have any formal
degrees in chemistry or perfumery. Their knowledge is comparable to that of
renowned perfumers of the world. Just to name, Zakir bhai from Aahom
Perfumes and Dr. Nikhil from perfume Guru yt channel possess extensive
knowledge. The family of Zakir bhai has been engaged in the distillation of
perfumes and attars for a number of generations. Another aspect to consider
is the accessibility of this business for visually impaired individuals.
Perfumes and attars are typically contained in delicate glass bottles,
which may pose challenges and safety concerns for those who are visually
impaired when handling glass and using sophisticated equipment for filling
and preparing decant bottles, as well as ensuring their safety. I remain
curious about the potential contributions a visually impaired individual
could make within the perfume industry. The process of blending and mixing
is quite intricate, as it relies on the precise quantity and correct
proportions of various ingredients and oils to create the perfume or
perfume oil. A blender must undergo multiple testing phases to achieve a
marketable compound. While many individuals with visual impairments possess
heightened sensitivity in auditory perception, it is not accurate to assert
that all visually impaired individuals excel in olfactory discrimination or
can differentiate among numerous distinct scents. This perfumery line has
the potential to create numerous employment opportunities for individuals
with visual impairments; however, there are several challenges in this
field that must be addressed.

Still I see the possibility of a visually impaired person in the following
field,

1. Testing the perfumes and ingredients, as in perfume industry its
more crucial to rely more on the noses than the eyes

2. Blind professionals can contribute to quality control departments by
assessing fragrance consistency, identifying batch anomalies, and
evaluating scent longevity. Their refined olfactory discrimination makes
them assets in sensory evaluation panels.

3. Consultant

4. In retail or luxury spaces, blind individuals can work as fragrance
consultants, educating customers on scent profiles, helping them find
suitable perfumes based on preferences, and telling the story behind a
fragrance

5. Teaching and educating may be other option for visually person.
