Hello everyone! Hope y'all are doing great. As a visually impaired person, I have benefited from many NGOs—both directly and indirectly. But even in 2025, most NGOs working for people with disabilities, especially the visually impaired, remain stuck in charity-based activities and outdated stereotypes. NGOs, in many ways, are a window into the lives of people with disabilities. They hold the power to shape how society perceives persons with disabilities. So, it’s time we welcome change. It's time someone opens up and talks about the things most blind people shy away from. And hence, it's time I write another 1500-word article. Grab a cup of whatever suits you, and buckle up for some unfiltered honesty.
