Dear Community,
I wanted to bring to your attention a recent blog post series by Swiggy on Medium, specifically the third part, where they discuss their efforts to make their app accessible. However, given my personal experience and the experiences of many others, I'm skeptical about the accuracy of these claims. Link to first part of the blog on medium here: https://bytes.swiggy.com/designing-the-swiggy-app-to-be-truly-accessible-epi sode-1-35ef43e5d4e4 What's even more surprising is the update on the petition <https://www.change.org/p/swiggy-make-swiggy-accessible-with-screen-readers- in-android-for-visually-challenged-people/u/29614170> , which suggests that the app is now accessible for screen reader users on Android. As someone who has faced challenges with the app's accessibility, I find it hard to believe that such significant progress has been made without our knowledge or involvement. I'd like to request the community's help in verifying these claims. Have you tried using the Swiggy app with a screen reader recently? Have you encountered any issues or improvements? Let's work together to provide feedback and ensure that Swiggy's claims are validated by real-user experiences. Your input and experiences will be invaluable in determining the next steps. Let's make our voices heard and push for true accessibility in the Swiggy app. **NOTE: Please leave your comments and thoughts on the blog post on medium so that our voice is heard, even if you do not reply to this mail with your findings it is important that their team gets the real picture from ground 0. P.S. I am an IOS user of the application, don't see or find any improvements with accessibility on the application. -- Disclaimer: 1.
