Dear Access Indians team, I would like to share an update regarding my railway E-concession. I have successfully obtained the concession; however, I have a concern regarding the validity period of the railway card, which is only nine months.
I sought clarification from my Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) officer, who informed me that the validity period is linked to my UDID card, which was issued in 2021. According to the DRM officer, new validity periods, such as ten years for individuals aged 26 or above, are applied to UDID cards generated in 2023 or later. This explains why my current concession is valid only until July 2026. I am seeking guidance on how to address this matter. My concern is that if I apply for a railway concession in the future, and my UDID card remains the same (issued in 2021), it might result in a denial of the concession due to its age.
