I understand your concern about involving your family, but the first and
most necessary action you should take is registering a formal complaint.

You should immediately file a complaint with your bank regarding the
fraudulent transaction using their official application or toll-free number.

You can also register a complaint on the Cyber Crime portal using the
toll-free number 1930. First, register the complaint on the NPCI portal,
and then with your bank.

In most cases, refund requests for fraud transactions filed with the bank
get rejected after some time.
but, it is still crucial to file the complaint. There is a slightly better
chance of quick resolution if your bank and the receiver's bank are the
same; otherwise, it will likely take time.

Please take these steps as soon as possible.
