On 17 December, during the NDFDC Divya Kala Mela programme, I raised Sugamya Bharat App issue in front of the new Hon’ble Secretary of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ms. Vidyavathi ma'am. I specifically mentioned the Sugamya Bharat App, developed by DEPwD to make infrastructure, digital platforms, and transport accessible for Persons with Disabilities. I shared that I multiple times tagged the former Secretary sir and the PMO for making this app accessible. Registered complaints are either transferred to the Office of the CCPD or marked as ‘resolved’ without any actual resolution on the ground. The Hon’ble Secretary responded that she would look into the matter. While leaving, I also noticed a senior official accompanying her discussing the app. I have shared an X (Twitter) post and tagged the relevant authorities.
