Here's a poem in Hindi on Braille's Day. Even in this era of technology,
Braille's importance cannot be undermined. We must salute the great
champion with all reverence. Three cheers for the great man!!!

*ब्रेल दिवस*
आँखों के बिना भी शब्द रोशनी बन गए,
लुई ब्रेल नेत्रहीनों के मसीहा बन गये.
उठे बिंदुओं की भाषा, जिसे सारी दुनिया ने पढ़ा,
नेत्रहीनों के लिये, शिक्षा के दरवाज़े खुल गये.
खुदा की कुदरत है, जो आँखों ने साथ नहीं दिया,
उंगलियों के ज़रिये, ब्रेल से रास्ते खुल गये.
पढ़ने-लिखने का मौका मिला, तो कमी न रही,
हम भी आँखों वालों की दुनिया में शामिल हो गये.
ब्रेल जो इबारत लिख गये अपने जुनून से,
गलतफहमी के पुराने किले ढह गये.
आँखों के बिना भी शब्द रोशनी बन गए,
लुई ब्रेल नेत्रहीनों के मसीहा बन गये.
