I would like to share my recent experience regarding the Railway
Concession Card application, specifically focusing on the timeline and the
hospital verification process. I submitted my application on May 22, 2025, and
within just a day, I received a notification that it was forwarded for
hospital verification. I waited for about 19 days, and on June 11, 2025, I was
notified that the hospital had successfully completed the verification and
sent the application to the Railway authorities. Finally, on June 16, 2025, my
pass was generated and uploaded online. In total, the entire journey took
about 22 days from application to completion.
Based on this experience, I understand that many of us feel uncertain
while the application is stuck in the hospital verification stage. It is
important to realize that a waiting period of two to three weeks is quite
normal, as medical officers often manage these verifications alongside their
clinical duties. In such cases, having patience is the first step, as the
process usually moves forward automatically. However, if you notice an
unreasonable delay exceeding 20 days, it is a good idea to personally visit
the 'Certificate Section' or the Superintendent’s office at the hospital
mentioned in your application with your original SADAREM or UDID documents to
check the status.
If you find that the process is still not moving despite a direct visit,
you can consider submitting a written request to the Hospital Superintendent
or using the CPGRAMS portal for a formal grievance. While we cannot always
control the speed of the verification, staying informed about the typical
timeline can help reduce a lot of anxiety. I hope my experience gives you a
clear idea of what to expect and how to proceed if things get delayed.
