Dear all Greetings from Rising Flame! For the upcoming Women’s Month, Rising Flame is happy to announce the 2nd edition of Rise Scholarships for women with disabilities pursuing higher education. With these scholarships, we aim to dismantle barriers faced by women with disabilities in their pursuit to fulfill their academic dreams and aspirations. This year, 20 women with disabilities will be selected under this programme. Successful applicants will receive a one-time financial award of INR 1.25 lakhs. They can use this award for tuition fees, accessible study materials, assistive devices or technology, interpreter services, and other reasonable accommodations to enable full participation in their academic pursuits. The applicant must meet the following eligibility criteria: 1. Be a woman with disability pursuing undergraduate or professional degrees (such as B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, B.Ed, MBBS, LLB) or postgraduate studies (such as MD, M.Ed, M.Tech, MBA, M.A, M.Phil, LLM, M.Sc, Ph.D., or equivalent diplomas/degrees). 2. Be 18 years of age or above at the time of application. 3. Be enrolled in (studying in) a registered institution located in any one of the following locations: Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kochi, Hyderabad, or Kolkata. 4. Annual family income should not exceed INR 5,00,000/- 5. Have at least one academic year remaining in their course at the time of receiving the scholarship. 6. Be a resident of India. 7. Be passionate about achieving their academic and professional dreams.
