Hi all, Sharing my latest piece here. It starts with the movie, The Devil Wears Prada — both the 2006 film and the sequel — and ends up at the Met Gala 2026, where for the first time in 78 years, a wheelchair user attended fashion's biggest night. It's about power, ambition, who fashion thinks it's for, and why that question is long overdue.
I'll be honest, I'm too fond of this world to be entirely objective, and I say that in the piece itself. But I think it's worth a read. https://medium.com/@shruti-pushkarna/the-devil-still-wears-prada-and-fashion-still-has-a-body-problem-6e955d1f03b7 Would genuinely love to know what you think.
