Dear all,
I have been struggling with this since a few days ever since I have changed my laptop. And Whats App accessibility support was absolutely useless to be blunt-closed the ticket without even responding.
After installing the Whats App on Windows, and downloading any file initially, there is an announcement by Jaws "Files downloaded will show up here". And on any subsequent download, it simply says download blocked.
Same happens if you restart Whats App. The announcement comes as "Download Blocked".
I have checked the notification / action center, all associated settings, including automatic media download (though both are different issues), and nothing works except reinstalling the Whats App.
Friends with eyesight are also not able to track down this notification. And this has made my daily job extremely difficult.
I am using Jaws 2026 on Windows 11 with Surface Pro and Whats App available on Microsoft Store with all versions being the latest.
I will be extremely thankful if anyone can help me solve this please.
