I have worked with Rui for more than 10 years, and have had a great personal relationship with him. Rui was a professional guy, a great contributor, and friend. I am sending this update to announce what will be going forward for the Vocalizer voices for NVDA, which we, at AccessMind, have developed for Tiflotecnia. We, at AccessMind, continue our full commitment to maintaining the Vocalizer voices product, as well as making sure it will continue being available to purchase at an affordable price, and continue serving its original purpose. Due to the sad news, AccessMind will be transitioning customers over to our own branded version of this product, called Runa TTS, gradually over the coming months. First for new customers, and later on for existing license holders as well. We will also be setting up a proper sales website and license management system during the month of August so that you will continue to have the ability to buy the product online and we will inform accordingly when this is completed. Existing Tiflotecnia voices version 4 license holders will continue receiving ongoing maintenance updates free of charge. We would also like to announce several major product updates: 1. During the month of August, we will add new Neural based voices from a new TTS provider, ReadSpeaker. ReadSpeaker has a wide range of high quality voices in various languages, that offer a natural reading experience while bringing something new to our industry. We have been working on these voices for a while, and we are finally ready for release. For existing Vocalizer for NVDA holders, you will be able to pay the price difference to get the ReadSpeaker voices as well if you will be interested in them. We will share pricing information, as well as samples, close to the publication date. 2. We are also going to introduce a pro version of our product, which will offer, in addition to the NVDA add-on, full support for SAPI5, as well as direct JAWS for Windows support. This will allow running both engines, Vocalizer and ReadSpeaker, from the same speech synthesizer, with a very low latency, and will allow operation with all screen readers and other speech software. 3. Later this year, we will also introduce Neural versions of the Vocalizer voices. These will be offered at no additional cost to Vocalizer license owners. 4. We are committed to keep the 90 euros price tag for the NVDA only product, and we will offer at the time of purchase a choice of either ReadSpeaker or Vocalizer for the same price.
